In the past, the astronomical towers of the Czech Technical University in Prague were used not only for teaching but also for scientific astronomical observations. In particular, the one on the roof of the Faculty of Civil Engineering has recently undergone reconstruction. Prof. Karel Pavelka, head of the Department of Geomatics, talks about the reconstruction and the activities of the entire observatory.
